Me neither - the wolverine I prefer has Brawling at no more than 20, maybe the dual-attack technique bought up, Wrestling a few points lower and gets by on a lot AoAs because he knows he can take it.

Modern wolverine is pretty ninja at everything though.

For comparison, the way that version wolverine fought in the 80s vs Iron Fist:

And after his ninja-retroactive upgrade:

IE, he's the main character.

That's covered in GURPS by having him invest in a huge pile of narrative control abilities: Impulse Buys is the GoTo place for that.

He naturally has backstop coverage with his Mutant Healing Factor (tm) but many times it's down to "I spend a point on Flesh Wounds! AHA!" That one time he regenerated his way back From A Single Cell he probably bought Extra Life with the spare points lying around.
Nah, functionally speaking, his adamantium skeleton seems to justify some Crushing DR, possibly some general DR, and definitely some Injury Tolerance (Damage Reduction). That, and his regenerative capacity also justifies the IT (DR), since in practice any wounds that aren't major tend to be pretty much cosmetic in nature even before they finish healing.

NO no no!

Unless Iron Fist was running on empty and Wolverine was hyped on combat drugs and well rested, IF should be able to kick his butt with both fists tied behind his back.

After being beaten to a pulp, IF defeated the killer of Iron Fists without using his training and reverting back to the child who refused to die. He then rescued everybody he could from the demonic city that produced the killer.

Wolverine would have just found the gate to the city and destroyed it. Well, after he healed up from slime after the killer absent mindedly pulped him on his way to kill IF.

My take on it, of course, but I stopped reading anything with X in its title from Marvel around 1980 something.

Wolverine is on most of the Avengers teams now as well, because I guess his real super power is being everywhere at once. So where is the multiple bodies in the write up?! :)

If you read the original post, that's one of the things the OP is trying to avoid.

Wolverine on two Avengers teams, two X-teams, and multiple guest shots and a solo title? He's been milked to death, IMO. Probably best to drop him to one team and maybe a solo title.

As an aside: Wolverine would be a monster in any system that used Last Gasp, wouldn't he? I mean, he's got to have an HT of 20 or so, which already insane amounts of Action Points. Add in his epic ninja skills, and (if you use that optional rule) he's got even more. Plus he probably regenerates some as an aspect of his regeneration (he's often depicted as very, very enduring, though sometimes we find him panting and recovering).

So he'd just keep going and going and going and going. Could beat you just by wearing you down.

Ahhhh. No Sleep, then. Of course, that could be an advantage (not needing any) or a disadvantage (not getting any, so to speak).

Put him in the Defenders, where heros go to rest.

Hey!?
The Defenders ar the best human based team, Way better then X-Men or Avengers. Especially the original ones.

I've always wanted to see a Defenders / Trinity crossover.

Superman, Batman, & Wonderwoman verses Doctor Strange, The Hulk, Namor, and Silver Surfer. The best part is that the Defenders are all borderline villains / antiheroes so you don't have to work so hard to come up with reasons for them to fight.

Anyhow, the Wolverine miniseries ruined Wolverine. Rotten ninjas ruined the eighties. I'd generally aim at doing the Marvel universe back before it got all ultimate and lifting a hundred tons was still a big deal. I'd build most of the guys like Hulk with high Lifting Strength, moderate actual Strength, high armor penetration, and human range skills and stats otherwise.
