Default GURPS Powers - Subatomic Manipulation Power

An NPC in my supers campaign AEON is going to have this power and I was wondering what folks think which advantages might go under it in a GURPS Powers style write up.

Thoughts?

Some Gross changing of physical behaviors sound like they might be on the table:
  • Phasing through objects
  • Eliminating Friction on a surface
  • Converting a solid to a gas (explosion or disintegration)
  • Transmutation of solids
  • Atomic explosions
  • The creation of radiation via unstable isotopes (and conversely, eliminating it)
Its a pretty broad power: what options you see here are in the range of what you are looking at?

Breaking the subatomic bounds between protons and neutrons could cause a very nasty nuclear explosion

He could create radiation in a body or place causing cancer or degenerating tissues.

Phase in, phase out to other (subatomic) dimensions.

Convert lead into gold! (Or convert an atomic substance into another)

What does "subatomic" mean here? Is it a synonym for "nuclear"? Or does it include adjusting the relationship between the electrons and the nucleus so long as you do it within a single atom rather than a molecule? Or does it include manipulating elementary particles in general?

Just trying to get a handle on what might be doable and how to do them in GURPOS terms.

All good examples.

Literally the manipulation of subatomic particles including protons, neutrons, electrons, etc.

Depends a bit on what the term is intended to mean; supers has a pretty casual relationship with physics. A reasonable model would be someone like Firestorm (DC).

Or Atom Eve from Invincible. But, yes. More or less like that.

Does that let you

(a) manipulate a single proton, neutron, or electron?

(b) manipulate all the particles of a given type, as in pulling all the electrons off the atoms in a given volume?

(c) manipulate, say, all the neutrons in nuclei of carbon-14?

(d) manipulate all the matter in a given volume that's made up of protons, neutrons, and electrons?

Relating to (d), if you can manipulate things that are made up of subatomic particles, why isn't this the same as being able to manipulate matter as such? Or is it?

I would probably say D. I was looking at Matter Control actually which seemed to mostly fit, but it can affect living things as well and that power can't.

Electrons would be all of chemistry and electricity.
