Observation roll (3d6=8) missed it by 1! figures.
Running wolf will point you in the right direction for the camp. You set off and find the young braves directions are spot on considering he has not been to the camp himself.
The camp consists of a a couple of old shacks made from dead fall wood and a large tent. It is roughly circular with a small paddock for horses to one side. It has no resemblance to your typical mining camp which do dot these hills. If you were forced to guess it has the look of a mountain retreat for road agents!
The camp looks deserted apart from the horses in the paddock. You begin to doubt Running Wolfs braves scouting skill until you hear a scream come from the tent. It is a womans scream.

OOC: the obseravtion skill is only used when you dont want people to know your looking other wise its per.

Samuel watches Sampson leave with Running Wolf. Once Sampson is out of sight the brave begins waving his arms about for a few seconds then mounts his horse with his lance and bow. He turns to samuel and gestures to him a sort of are you coming gesture.

You wait the minute and set off back up the trail. Time passes with its usual manotony until sabastian whistles at Pericles. You turn to see Sebastian pointing to the tree line. Pericles follows the general direction that sebastian is pointing to see the huge grissly apears to be shadowing them. The bear is not doing anything to conceal the fact either.

OOC: Uthar88 i need a 3d6 roll please.

Mounting his horse, Samuel follows the Brave.

"Well then, lets get this party started."

"Well, can't be much that survived that blaze." Jeb leads Henry along the trail, steering clear of the wreckage, and keeping his pistol in hand.

OOC: then I made it by 4.

IC: Sampson drops the lead on the mule and spurs his horse to the camp. He draws his scatter gun and cocks it. When he gets to the edge of the camp he will dismount and charge for the tent entrance.

You travel a while longer with the bear matching your pace. Sebastian and Pericles exchange glances every now and then. This is not normal behaviour for a bear but then by all apearences this is no ordinary bear. When ever you catch sight of the mighty grissly you are filled with a strange sensation, it is almost spiritual. In fact Sebastian is one hundred percent convinced this bear is in fact some form of spirit totum made flesh.
Pericles is close to agreeing when the bear suddenly accelerates and heads for the trail. In alarm pericles raises his pistol and tries to aim at the great bear. The air is split by a mighty roar the bear seems almost to be flying then there is a sickening scream. The bear has caught a leaping mountain lion in its jaws and drags it to the ground. The lion had been leaping toward pericles unseen!
The Lion puts up a fight but the grissly quickly over powers it and snaps its spine with an audible crack. The dead lion is then deposited close to Pericles' wagon and the bear rumbles of at speed into the forrest. Your skills at navigation arent much but if you had to bet you would bet on the bear having taken a direct path to Shady Gulch.

Leaving his mule to take care of himself Sampson strides toward the tent. He hardly pauses before throwing open the tent flaps and entering with his scatter gun against his shoulder. Inside the tent are two teenage girls and a young man. The young man is in the process of tearing off one of the girls trousers. His own britches are half way down his legs and he seems intent on assaulting the girl in the worst way possible. Unfortunately firing the scatter gun would get the girl and the man.
