I bought and downloaded 2 planet atlases and while there are planetary records, I don't see the abbreviated form of UPP.
Do you use UPP stats with your planetary profiles, or leave them off ? Thanks. |

UPP is a Traveler thing. GURPS Space doesn't do it. (Although GURPS Traveller of course does.)

"Universal Planetary Profile", a format for listing planet stats in Classic Traveller (and later). It used "hexadecimal" (actually goes beyond the digit 15 in some cases) to make every stat a single character, and runs them all together as a string of digits, so it might look something like
MyPlanet C77A9A9-6 (Starport type C, Size 7, atmosphere code 7, etc.) Traveller also listed other things, like character stats, in similar profiles. |

I must have been reading pdfs for both and conflated the two. Thanks.
