But Marvel Universe is boring! We want 21th century Supers: give us AUTHORITY or at least the ULTIMATES Universe!

:D

...just joking, but would be a real challenge to create the sheets of the Authority characters: they got really weird powers.

I was a big fan of Authority or at least for the first 12 issues. After Issue 12 it went all downhill. :(

I like Ultimate Marvel Univers, I see it as a great RPG Supers in modern day setting.

Just updated Doctor Octopus. Changes include DR on the robotic arms and replacing the Electrical power modifier with Temp Disad: Electronic on a lot of the stuff.

Gimme a few days and I should have Electro modified.

All right. That was easier than I thought... probably too easy.

Electro has been updated. Biggest change was reworking the offensive abilities of his powerset. I also changed his marital status in the bio and gave him a new disad and a pair of new quirks. End result is a round 500 points, my first ever.

Not strictly necessary, IMO, but it does have the desired result of making them more robust.

Looks better, though I still think combining at least some of the AAs and adding Selectivity would be a good idea. Why did you decide to change the Aura to an Emanation?

Just went over in my head as to how I thought it would work, and it seemed like an omnidirectional pulse was the way to go instead of just "charging" his skin. Think Blanka in the Street Fighter arcade games. I probably could still add on an Aura attack at some point, though; maybe tack it onto the Emanation with Selectivity like you said.

Default Magic Styles

I'm looking for some feedback on the magical styles in the Marvel Universe. Having perused the Realm Magic section in Thaumatology, it seems to be a better fit than the Ritual Magic previously used for Dr. Strange and his ilk, and is adaptable enough for the magic seen in the comics. A six-tier layout, as presented on pp. THM188-9, seems to fit well, with level 6 being reserved for truly cosmic entities.

However, before I revamp the entry for Strange once again, it's probably a good idea to figure out which Realms are available. Right now, I'm looking at six: Mind, Soul, Time, Space, Power, and Reality (yes, the Infinity Gems are the inspiration). I've also considered less-powerful Realms, such as Animal, Plant, Illusion, Luck, Transform, and Movement, tapping out at level 3 or 4 on the 6-tier layout, to help represent more limited styles such as the witchcraft used by Agatha Harkness, Wanda Maximoff's Gypsy magic, or the druidic mysticism of Dr. Druid.

Thoughts?

Ugh... Infinity Gems :/

I haven't tinkered with Thaumatology as much as I might have, with all the other shinys distracting me lately. My own feeling is that six levels (per Realm) is over-complicating things. I'll think on it some and get back.

I said that they were the inspiration, not that they exist in the Reboot. The division seems to work on cosmic-scale adventures, although not so great on a smaller scale.

I'm trying to figure something that'll allow cosmic-scale powers alongside the minutia. Ergo, the six-level power model.
