GURPS Traveller: SHip Airspeed Question
Hello Everybody
This is an obscure question but I hope someone can help me. In GT159 a formula is given for calculating a ship's airspeed. IN GT130-146 various example ships given are with their air speeds - however, if you calculate the speed of the ships according to the formula there is a huge discrepancy - the speeds given are ~ 15-20 x greater than thosederived from the formula! Is the formula wrong or are the ships' speeds wrong? Any help would be much appreciated. |

I wasn't able to reproduce such a margin of error.
Code:

Re: GURPS Traveller: SHip Airspeed Question
I have worked out the problem. I was using the ship's final G rating as the Thrust but instead I should have calculated it the following way: Thrust = Number of Manoeuvre drives x Thrust rating as found in Starships138.
Your worked examples allowed me to solve the problem so thank you for providing those and thank you for your quick response, it is much appreciated. |
