"Where can these keys be acquired? I would hate to break our word if we fail to return them. What is the nature of this amulet?"
"The puzzle portion of Sabwerk is filled with cornucopia enchantments that produce these keys. I have a set of keys on me at the moment, as well as copies that I've had made."

She pulls out a small bronze amulet with a picture of a rat with a crown on it. "This is the amulet. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have any magic, and the pattern itself doesn't matter" She pulls out a second amulet with a different pattern. "at least as far as I can tell."

"Does this bypass the puzzle, or simply make for a less guarded approach?"

"So, if we take the water route, do we completely bypass the puzzles, or would there still be puzzles beyond the entrance?"
Arlinela: "It bypasses the puzzle, at least mostly. I don't know if further puzzles are deeper in Sabwerk."

I think both is better than one or the other, probably.

Arlon: "Breathing water, to start. If we really need it, I have a Grimoire with the Swim Spell, but its a taxing spell-- its best if we don't need to use it."

"So who here would prefer to stay dry and not swim?"

Vassarious considers the tale of Jonah and the whale and envisions himself as a great sea creature with a space for passengers... but that's more than they wish to reveal...

"Puzzles pieces aplenty, but no picture of how they might go together... I suppose one path is good as another."

Haley: "The Puzzle is not an original component of Sabwerk. Someone added it. Probably one of these cults. It might be worth investigating the puzzles first, and then bypassing them if they do not resolve themselves quickly. So I vote Puzzles first, but remember the entrance"

Arlon: "The puzzle is to keep the riff-raff out. I am not riff-raff. I would prefer to go strait to the center of this."

Ren Shrugs.

They look at Arlinela:
"Hey, I'm not going at all!"

Arlon: "If you say so."

EDIT: One for, one against: its up to the players.

We should get our own key copies if we need them. For all we know these are tricksy magic tracking devices, or will bring us complications at the demand to return them later.

I think that indicates they will be swimming in for the first Entry.

Copying the keys is cheap: Haley indicates that you should be able to get it done for around $5 a key, and that done quickly as well.

The table agrees they will be setting out for Sabwerk first thing in the morning, giving everyone time to get ready*. (Its a three hour walk away)

* Unless the PC's object.

Anything you want to do before you leave in the morning?

Well, I could put the rest of the party and/or the bard under surveillance, but I think it's best to leave that thread alone.

Vassarious will cavort with the Bard and take the opportunity to trade a few stories and play a few songs before retiring.

They have no other business to conduct.

Haley offers to buy their rations for the trip if they will reimburse her. Lodging can be found at the very tavern you met in.

The night is uneventful.

That morning you set out for Sabwerk. You have been on the road for about an hour when you see what looks like a school of sliver fish flying in the sky. Its coming towards you.
