"I believe we will be able to seek out the signs, or they will seek us out in due course. In the meantime a bar sounds like a delight." As they travel (and as a flashback before they came to the gates) Vassarious examines the behavior of some of the materials in their vials and spirit bags as preliminary examinations on the nature of this place's magics. |

Seeking out a "Bar" is fairly easy. Its early in the night, and the place is still fairly full. How expensive of a place will you go? Where the dregs of society go, where the craftsmen drink, or a place with overpriced drinks and rich clientele? Quote:

Yeah, whatever is "middle class" should be reasonably helpful. A posher place might have people who know better fortune tellers, though they might not be available on short notice.

Well, Cassandra was a princess after all. Surely in a world where kings are immortal by virtue of accurately knowing their cause of death, accurate fortunes are preferred to pleasing ones.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Court Witches, Magicians, and Soothes have great power. For each Court Witch, there is likely to be one of equal power in the general populace, plus many of lesser power.
Some court magicians also live in what appear to be humble circumstances, for mystical reasons, visiting the court regularly. It can be more prestigious (and offer more freedom) to play a mysterious wanderer than just another member of the royal court. I await the decision on what kind of place to visit. There's a lot going on, as previously established... talking to a witch should help sort things out. The pervasive magic here is interesting... Fate has a presence of its own, but its been twisted and manipulated by hundreds of spells, both large and small.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Vassarious is interested in the first available... In this place, they are leaving things to Fate when in doubt... at least until the players know who they are and start manipulating it...
Vassarious will investigate if they are able to find a way to see if anyone has influenced their fate outside of their oaths... |
