Range is very much higher in the air. Atmospheric range is 750/3200. See the TsNIITochMash APS in High Tech.

I suppose but the rail gun basically destroys everything in one hit...

That could be a civilian boat, and we did not even get an answer to if the demon is headed for it.

It doesn't seem so... it made it to the surface and then started transforming.

If Vassarious can use extra effort, flying leap or power blow to get a bit of extra velocity to try and get it before it can finish shapeshifting to report, they will do so!

Power blow doesn't seem relevant here.. but flying leap does, especially since now you're close to the surface and can take to the air.



Make your flying leap roll, and then your attack roll. The target has transformed into some sort of gull (SM-3)

The demon is still transforming into a gull, but has enough mobility to dodge the attack! The death marlin sails through the air and land right where the demon was, moving at 80 miles per hour, and landing in the water with a splash... the demon will finish transforming in 1 second, and next second be able to move at proper gull speeds.

That was rather lackluster.

Range/Speed is 40 yards (speed dominates here), for -9. Even aiming won't turn any of those shots into hits.


The death marlin is 10 yards away from the demon-gull, headed at speed 40 the other way.
