Peter's vision of her in the container should let him know what part of the container she is in, should it not?

This is true... She's packed in pretty tight, about two layers deep.

Peter will pull out his phone and start to take video of the chaos.

Nice thought. He can't see the door at the moment... but he's getting audio, and some visual of the worker reacting.

The worker is confused by the smoke, and seems to be checking various sensors.

The worker is shocked to see a dinosaur. He starts shouting "Dinosaur! Dinosaur!". He puts a good distance between himself and the critter... running back and shouting on the radio.

With the worker running from the dinosaur and the container open? Yes.

Peter dashes out and into the compartment and frees the girl!

If there is some built in way to easily expose her container, he will use it, but otherwise he will simply try and shove the containers on top of the cat girl's.
If the containers are too heavy to move aside with a shove, he will find some kind of a lever.

Peter shoves the crates out of the container. Its hard work... but there are only a few of them. He finds the box with the Catgirl... its got a simple combination latch on it: four numbers. The Worker hasn't returned yet.

Peter will take a few pictures quickly, capturing any visible evidence, crate numbers, etc.

I assumed there were air holes and it would be apparent to anyone entering the container she was in here, but I'm getting the impression now that this is not the case. I misremembered your description thinking I saw her in the box, rather than entering it.

If the case is locked and he can't take pictures of her at this point, he is going to have to get in there... He does not have lockpicking or forced entry but he does have an unspent point, luck and Serendipity... Let's use his Scrounging - 14 to find something to force or finesse the lock, spend Peter's unspent point on the more logical of the two skills to get the job done, and beseech the fickle fates to bring this one over the finish line.

"Kitty, can you hear me? It's Peter! Hello!?"

Peter takes a few pictures, then looks around for something to get in. His scrounging roll is a 7... he spots some a metal bar in the shipping container itself that could be used to pry the box open. He's not quite sure what the orginal purpose is for... maybe holding the door open, or levering things out?



Spending an emergency point on forced entry, Peter levers up the box lid, and the flimsy lock gives way with a crunch.



"Peter? Am I there already? Are you going to give me my purpose after all?"


She has clothes on this time, though they're probably more provocative than simply being naked.

"Your purpose is to get your freedom! To get out of here, figure out what kind of life will make you happy, and build it! now take my hand and let's go!"

Peter takes the girl by the hand and flees from the container and heads for the break in the fence he gained access by. He waves at the surveillance cameras and then thinks to pull out his phone. He dials a video call to the cop he was talking to and holds up the phone as they run to get the cat girl in the frame.

"Found her! Toldja!"

He leads her out of there and tries to get some distance and coordinate to get to the authorities.

"And what's my name?"

He's leading her back behind the container when three workers show up: one of them looks like security and is holding some sort of gun with a big barrel. They look stunned. Then one of them yells: "Hold up! lets sort this out!"

...

Police action pending resolution of this scene.

I hope for Peter's sake that this isn't some kind of password system, where if he gets it wrong she scratches his eyes out.
