How much does high damage cost? I've been looking but just can seem to find it. A 20d crushing attack would be 100 points but what about a 6dx6? How do you calculate the point cost for that multiplier?

Take the cost of 6d innate attack, and multiply it by 6. I believe that's the correct method.
EDIT: I could never find this in the books either, which is why I'm volunteering it here; I learned it from the Character Assistant.

20d6= 20-120 dmg; 6d6x6= 6-36 dmg times 6 = 36-216 dmg.

36d6= 36-216 dmg

I believe the cost is the same like 36d6, ergo calculate the cost by multypling the cost for 6d6 cr (30 pts) with 6, giving 180 pts in total.

There is no multiplier. "6dx6" is just a simpler way to roll 36d. In other words, you'd buy Crushing Attack 36d, and then you'd roll 6dx6 because it's much, much easier.

Same thing with your 20d attack. I'd hate to try keeping that many dice at the table for my own use. So you'd roll 5dx4 instead. That's just a convenient way to roll the damage, not a change or multiplier.

Note that you have a higher chance of maximum damage with 6d6x6 compared to 36d, because less dice have to be rolled.

You also have the same chance of minimum damage. The multiplier tends to flatten the curve.

Exactly. If you roll 36 dice, you're almost guaranteed to get between 108-144 points of damage. The huge number of dice will cancel each other out, forcing the roll back towards the midpoint. If you roll 6 dice, you have a reasonable change of rolling especially high or low.

For example, your odds of rolling maximum (or minimum) damage on 36 dice are about 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (that's 10 octillion), while your odds of doing the same on 6dx6 are better than 1 in 50,000. So using multipliers flattens the curve a lot; this is intentional. Not only is it easier to roll 4-8 dice instead of dozens (or hundreds!), but it's fun to have a little randomness in the equation. By the time you're throwing 10 dice or more, really, you might as well not roll and just use the average damage.
