Re: Meteoric Iron Arrows
What does an acc of -1 mean? No benefit from aiming? -1 even on unaimed shots? We have no examples of negative acc. Incidentally, this is really stats for iron arrows, the same stats would apply whether or not the iron was meteoric.

-1 to the bows acc, because the longbow went from acc 2 to acc 1 when the iron arrow was substituted. The damage increases, not decreases. The heavier the arrow, the more kinetic energy it gets from the bow, and thus the more damage. The cost per arrow should be something around 8x-10x, before the meteoric cost modification. I don't have the full specs.

Yes by the legalistic reading of the rule the target of Missle Shield is the caster (assumed) however the spell SETS UP A MAGICAL FIELD which then acts to delfect the arrow out of the way. It is the second hurdle that an MI arrow causes Missle Shield to fail, It by definition cannot deflect an MI arrow out of the way...so it continues on to hit. YMMV, but makes sense to me.

Iron Arrows: $50, 0.5 lb, each (seriously, you'll need pretty near sword quality production). -3 Acc, +1/die. Meteoric: +19 CF, or $1,000 each. |

They'd have to be, don't they?

+500 CF, x5 weight, -3 Acc, x1/3 Max, +1/die damage I'm still really surprised that nobody has done this yet. It seems like it should be an obvious thing to want to do. What am I missing? Last edited by sir_pudding; 09-10-2012 at 07:01 PM. |

Re: Meteoric Iron Arrows
Is this for my game? Because if it's for my game, we can assume that the shaft is a hollow cylinder, and the actual weight of an arrow remains the same.
