Re: Need ideas for non-game-breaking unique artifacts
First time through, I read that as "whichever one generates manga" and wondered why it wasn't a drawing table...

Re: Need ideas for non-game-breaking unique artifacts
Hmmm... speaking of Manga - how about a pen or pencil that gives the user perfect, not to say uncanny drawing skills, but only for sketching a specific genre (graphic novel, manga, u name it); however, this writing utensil can only be used for this, and nothing else, and will simply adapt any other working to its will - which can be rather annoying if you were trying to write a note for your boss and and find that you just scribbled a caricature of your boss's face, or a surprisingly accurate nude rendition, or a manga version of one of your co-workers...

Re: Need ideas for non-game-breaking unique artifacts
almost too gamy, but at least it inspires the players to be flexible (pun intended):
Rubber Band As the name implies, a rubber band that Eli was playing with, that doesn't break no matter how far you stretch it, and when you try to cut it just goes rubbery. Naturally, the larger you stretch it, the more strength is necessary... Many practical uses spring to mind... Rubber Band Somewhat more quirky, a box of rubber bands, each of which, when twanged continuously, will play a particular tune, sounding something like being in between a banjo and a plucked Cello. If several rubber people play together, it will provide the ultimate it acts a Celestial Song of Harmony, with everyone around stopping to watch and grin. But most importantly, it gives the people twanging a zen state of mind, allowing them to really concentrate on a given problem, and come up with a creative solution for it (GM can give hints while players twang). Rubber Band A couple of little erasers, whittled away into strange shapes that a celestial, upon closer examination, will realise are in fact the shapes of the celestial forms of the demon bands. They don't wear down, and are really good erasers, but they don't do anything great - except that when you rub them vigorously across the forehead or nose of someone under the effect of a demonic resonance, it removes the effect (and the rubber begins to wear down). It does not stop the demon re-applying his or her resonance. Also, when applied to someone geased by a Lilim, it acts as though they had resisted the Geas for the moment - however, the Lilim retains the hook, so she can Geas them again, in theory. |

A camera that "Rembrants" the scene, (similar to those things that cartoonify your pictures, this one creates a beautiful artwork of the scene).
A vial that fills with every tear shed within a mile. A "choose your own adventure" book that records your actions yesterday, and in addition to what you actually said lets you choose politer or more loving options - the past isn't actually changed but those you were talking to can 'remember' you alternate choices if you make them. (Obviously if the GM thinks a choice would be game breaking, it isn't in the book - and any choice that would cause a large change in another characters actions can't be). A still that fills with whiskey if left in moonlight. A coin with the "heads" side is an image of the viewer's true love. Schroeder's toy piano. A kite that grants the ability to fly...by pulling the wielder of the ground. A DVD player that MST3Ks any movie played in it. The DVD is eaten, and viewing with a different copy will get different aspects heckled. |

I'm beginning to wonder if Warehouse 23 is a Tether to Eli instead of Vapula ... or if not, whether the Prince of Technology has a team of demons in black assigned to follow "Eli reports" and bring back anything he may have handled.

Go-Faster stripes. Janus may have been involved. They're magnetic, they stick to the car, and make it, well, go Faster. Hopefully it's got a Talisman for Driving included...

Re: Need ideas for non-game-breaking unique artifacts
Remnant detecting puzzle. Puzzle box says that the puzzle inside contains 99 pieces if within one mile of a Remnant (says 100 pieces otherwise). If assembled, puzzle will orient toward the remnant and all information about the remnant will be revealed in the picture (clothing, location, etc.) except the face (which is the missing piece). Puzzle border will be white for an angelic remnant and black for a demonic remnant.
A music box that will play the tune of the favorite song of the most recent love (including current) of the holder. A lunch box that contains the best meal that you've ever had, but nothing short of an intervention will make the eater of the meal want to eat again for a week. (Fun to give to Gluttons) A radio that will pick up disturbance with the same super-sharp detection as a Grigori. A compass that will always point in the direction of the nearest Triad of Judgement. (If touching the vessel of a demon within 6 rounds of its death, will point to the nearest servitor of the Game) A packet (50) of seeds that when a seed is thrown at a servitor of Death will destroy the Samingite's current vessel and give it the vessel of the plant from Little Shop of Horrors. A bucket with the Celestial song of banishing* on it. It much be filled with water and then the water thrown on someone for the song to go off. (I think that is the right song for the ones that drives out Kyrios/Shedites) A gun that if aimed at a Cherub or Djinn will cause the creation of an additional attunement (with CD/6) to the closest Puppy or Kitten under 3 months of age. A "Get out of Limbo Free" card. When the holder is sent to Limbo, the holder may choose to use the card which will create a duplicate vessel at the site that their vessel of was killed or they may keep it and get out of Limbo normally. A "Learning Bridge". Once per day, at the cost of two essence, one of two things happens. If two entities are holding the bridge, then each may teach a skill or song level to the other but the level learned must stay less than the teacher. If one or three or more is holding the bridge when the essense is spend then a *random* skill or song is learned by one entity. (anything from Pedicures to the Song of Ethereal Chicken Salad) Double all effects if holders are all creationers or destinarians. A book of Vogon Poetry (All entites within earshot other than the reader and any Vogons) suffer a -5 penalty to any action other than running away while it is read. 1 note of disturbance is generated every round at the site of the reader. The Vessel of a Blue Whale. A Summonable Resume maker. If held by a human, will generate a resume within 10 seconds. Must be refilled with paper when it runs out. *Very* useful for non-destinarian Kyriotates who need to figure out what their host has done. A Last edited by naraht; 08-22-2011 at 11:06 PM.
