The best Munchkin game?
I'd like to know which Munchkin game you think is the most interesting in terms of game mechanics.
Why do you think it is the best? For the sake of the discussion, let's ignore the thematics of each game and focus on the game mechanics. With this in mind, which of the different Munchkin games do you think has the best game mechanics and why? Also, which Munchkin game has the most brutal backstabbing opportunities? Munchkin Cthulhu
Munchkin Apocalypse Munchkin Conan Cthulhu for the Cultist rule, Apocalypse for the seals, and Conan for the overall quality with the standard game mechanics. |

Re: The best Munchkin game?
Most interesting in term of game mechanics, if we are limiting ourselves to the base game, would be Apocalypse in my opinion.
The alternate win condition provided by the seals really mixes things up, and I prefer it to the alternate win condition in Cthulhu (which is really kind of the SAME win condition, but an alternate way to end the game). If you start adding in everything that was designed to add on to a certain Core game, then the original Fantasy Munchkin still has the most variety of stuff going on, and a lot of ways to kind of customize depending on which expansions and boosters you choose to include. |

Apocalypse would be my favourite one, due to its potential brutality. If you get a few Seals open before anybody has had a chance to go up a few levels, then you are in for a very wild ride.

2 date I would say Conan but I add Dwarves, because Dwarves make everything better... but I love blender games with Zombie/Bites and Space/Cowboy and Ninja/Spy... I just love the games...
