Marvel had a set of comics years through their Epic subdivision that had a variation on that. It was called Shadow line, and it was about a race of super-powered beings living amongst humanity in secret. Members of this did not age, and their powers would grow as they got older, until they had their first child. Then they would start to age and their powers would stop growing. Interesting take on the topic.

Eris is a reality where "someone" has been handing out super soldier serum to every rebel movement, terrorist group, warring criminal syndicate. Any non-governmental group engaging in violence, or that might be encouraged to. The result has been open factional strife all over the glove, like living in Beirut. TL 7, Low Mana.

Sisyphus is a reality of great prosperity and technology...but it is fueled by brutal exploitation of its super population especially the energy projectors trapped in its brutal power plants. TL 7+3, Normal Mana.

Harmonia is apparently a best-case reality. Supervillains are rare, superheroes are admired and have made the most out of their ability to help, defend and liberate humanity starting from when they thrashed Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and Tojo on behalf of the League of Nations. Most of the threats superheroes are needed for are external. TL 7+1, Normal Mana.

Ladon is a reality where humans are (loosely) ruled over by dragons with great magical powers. TL 6?, Mana Level High

Achilles is a reality in which Earth has only one hero, a Superman type sent to protect it from alien intrusion. Bad news. Extradimensional superheroes count as alien intruders. TL 7.

Ekecheira is a reality in which "superheroes" and "supervillains" have become nothing more than performers under contract, entertaining the public through streaming videos sent by the hovering camera eyes that trail them. The real supervillains of the past have have all been banished.

Tartarus: An Earth without native intelligent life used as a dumping ground for Ekecheira's real villains as a kind of "phantom zone"

Interesting. As for naming a worldline where having a child can/will strip one of powers, I'm thinking Thetis (mother of Achilles) might be the best option - she was destined to have a son who would surpass his father (hence why they married her off to a mortal before Zeus could get his hands on her), which kinda fits here.

Hades - a world where some people come back from the dead with superpowers. There are no truly alive supers in this world, they all have a strong connection with death and the underworld.

I could see a few alternatives:
-- Highlander version, where they come back as "immortals." I'd make quickening a resource they need to stay alive (hence all the fighting).

-- Warbreaker style Returned.

-- Matrix world, where the underworld is the "real" world. Each 'awakened' person jacking into the matrix has powers that suit their avatar.

This leads to ghoulish scenes as totalitarian states raises thousands of adolescents into fanatical warriors, then mass murders them in order to get those who rise again with super powers.

The web serial The Zombie Knight Saga involves a variant of this - there's a rare genetic trait that results in people coming back as incorporeal (and invisible) Reapers, who largely serve to ferry the souls of the dead. Each Reaper can also maintain one (at a time) Servant - a person who's soul the Reaper bound to him/herself, allowing the Reaper to grant them regeneration (or remake them from scratch if their brain is destroyed), dull their pain, halt the aging process, etc. Servants also develop powers of their own over time - notably, they can learn to infuse their attacks (or objects) with their soul, both strengthening and allowing them to affect Reapers, their soul itself becomes more powerful as time passes, and they each gain an additional semi-unique power. The main character can materialize iron, for example - at first just flakes of iron dust, but he markedly improves over the course of the story.

And, of course, there's a twisted organization of Reapers and Servants, called Abolish, that will often groom people (child soldiers, the mentally ill, etc) into perfect subjects before killing them and having an allied Reaper raise them back up as a Servant. Some of the non-villains function somewhat-similarly - for example, many of the Rainlords endeavor to find a trustworthy Reaper and kill their own children at the age of 14 (traditionally by drowning, although the Elroys instead use a helium tank for a more peaceful passing), having the Reaper bring them back as a Servant.

No (direct) friendly fire necessary, just convince them that the most pure of heart, loyal, and crazy-brave will rise as "The Chosen Ones" and point them toward regular warfare.
