I guess we all are taking into consideration that killing the goblinoid children and women would go against the spirit of a heroic setting. And while the idea is tempting for at least half the party (LOL), we are not the kind of PCs that raid villages (without a reason). I think it was made clear IC that the characters understand the situation, and have decided not to kill the creatures for now. However, it would be hard not wiping the goblinoids if they keep directly or indirectly attacking us. So, we decided to talk. OF course, we have limited abilities to negotiate and you know it, but we already made some good rolls. That said, the main intention is having a liaison to guide us inside of the caves, and to help us avoid fighting more goblinoids, especially because their situation and our objectives align. Their women seem capable for fighting, but they also have warriors and we offered healing them. I think we all would love the idea of having Uruk-hai in our party, but all we need is a reliable guide able to keep up with us and of defending themself. On top of that, you’ve seen the party cares for each other.

Different group of women, different species (those women were hobgoblins and these women are goblins), and the previous group were much more high-strung and haunted by an attempted murder of their whole tribe. The goblins are noticeably less militarized.
