Out to Lunch card

If the Out to Lunch card is drawn face up during the Kick down the door phase, does it effect apply immediately, i.e the player takes 2 treasures there and then, or does it go into the players hand for use in a future combat as it would had it been acquired by looting the room?

It's not a Monster, nor is it a Curse, and it does not tell you to play it immediately. Therefore, it goes into your hand.
