Default Can a Mod Rename a Thread I Assigned a Name Which Fails to Explain What Input I Want?

In Roleplaying in General, I posted the thread Rhodesian Security Forces Tactical Unit Organization.

Desired New Title: Doctrine, Equipment and Organization for Reserve African Rifles in the Caribbean

Please and thank you.

While the old title is technically accurate, what I actually want is feedback for a new military force based in the Commonwealth of Dominica, in the Caribbean, but composed mostly of veterans of the Rhodesian African Rifles, Selous Scouts, British South African Police, in particular PATU and the Police Support Unit and other elements of the Rhodesian Security Forces which were composed mostly of Ndebele, Kalanga, Shaangan, Ngoni, Swazi and other tribal peoples.

The Reserve African Rifles would legally be a reserve military formation for their adopted homeland of Dominica and when they were founded in 1990, that wasn't a ceremonial duty. The Prime Minister, Dame Eugenia Charles, had weathered two coups her first year in office, one foreign, one domestic, and had been forced to disband the armed forces.

Then there was the Cold War, which didn't feel very cold when neighbouring Grenada filled with Cubans and was invaded by Western powers, though Dominica came out of that better off, in that it was regarded as a trusted ally of the United States and as a solid part of the Commonwealth by the UK and Canada.

And in 1990, the same year as the new immigrants to Kraal Khumalo are given permission to raise the Reserve African Rifles as a self-defence militia and sworn to defend the constitution and democracy of their adopted homeland, they witnessed the entire government, including the head of state, of neighbouring Trinidad and Tobago taken hostage by radical Islamic terrorists.

So, they consider a similar attempt in their own adopted home far from unlikely. Whether it is Cuban-backed Communist invasion, far-right mercenaries, cartels or ideological terrorists, just because the Commonwealth of Dominica is a small Caribbean island paradise doesn't mean it's immune to foreign danger.

On the other hand, these reservists have another purpose. Some of them will not be part-time soldiers. Some will serve full time and be trained as Commandos and perhaps eventually as modern special operations personnel. In that role, they should be able to project force in the event that supernatural threats ever grow bad enough they cannot be handled by small teams of Night Riders (i.e. Monster Hunters), like the PCs.

If you edit the first post, you can click the edit button in the lower right and then change the title.

Edit: I take that back. I am too used to phpBB where renaming the first post renames the topic. I guess that does not work for this software.
