Extra Effort for mental tasks
Has anyone tried using Extra Effort rules for mental tasks? I'm thinking about trying a house rule that allows players to spend 1 FP to get a small bonus on a mental task. The idea would be to model someone concentrating really hard in order to tune out distractions, or to push themselves to focus and think intensely about the problem.
I'm curious if others have tried a similar rule and have feedback. I don't see anything in Basic for this kind of extra effort, but if there's something published elsewhere I'd be curious. |

I haven't tried this, but I can see you'd have to be careful to avoid confusing entanglements with spell-casting, which is largely a mental activity.
