What’s your current game about?
I’m curious about the sort of games the people in the forums play these days in GURPS. What kind of campaign are you playing or running? How long have you been doing so?

Playing in a post apocalypse/space opera/sci-fi/mix that started a decade ago but was revived a few months ago after years in hibernation. Humanity is the second evolution of an advanced species on Earth, lots of Roman mythology and a few others here and there. Also using VTT for same reasons. Considering running a Time Travel/IW type campaign, but will be more one shots than traditional continuing arc. Another person is consideirng running a modern day (ish) spy/spec ops/intel type game, not really fleshed out.

I currently run two teams with a third gearing up and all are set in the same world. You can read about it here if you want.

I'm setting up for a Weird War II campaign based in India. It's a sequel to RogerBW's Irresponsible and Right, in the same setting, with different characters, starting in 1939.

Re: What’s your current game about?
I'm just now starting up a new campaign, having played the final session of Tapestry, a Bronze Age fantasy campaign with animistic magic.
Fronteira is set in Pavonis Portal, one of the four example cities of GURPS City Stats. It's culturally Brazilian, but it's the Brazil of an alternate timeline from GURPS Alternate Earths, Shikaku-Mon, some centuries in the future from the published setting; the world's great powers are Brazil, France, Japan, and Russia (Sweden, one of the four great powers of the published setting, has fallen behind as a result of the economic burden of excessive militarization). The Brazilian Empire is constitutionally a monarchy (in GURPS terms, a Dictatorship) but is CR1; however, Pavonis Portal is governed by a large corporation, a subsidiary of Construção Orbital, and is CR2 (CR3 on matters of community survival in the lethal Martian environment). Its economy is largely driven by Mars's orbital elevator, and secondarily by an emerging financial sector. I've been discussing character ideas with the players, and it looks as if some of them are leaning toward being members of a wealthy Pavonis Portal family with investments in a variety of enterprises. We've scheduled character creation for 4 December.

Nordlond DFRPG. But it's on hold for the moment while I learn the system better by actually playing it.

Re: What’s your current game about?
I've been running my first campaign for just over a year. It's set in post-apocalyptic Mongolia, between Tarialan and Tarialan-Sum, sometime between 2200 and 2300ad. A static Banestorm deposits new Arrivals in the same spot at unpredictable intervals, and the timelost PCs are based in the Outpost that grew up around the storm.
For the first year, the main antagonist has been the harsh climate of the area... sometimes hungry wolves, and (very rarely) bandits. Little do the Arrivals know that the Garou of Lake Baikal mean to keep the human population down to a manageable minimum as in ancient times... |

I'm planning to run (soonish) a campaign of 1930s ne'er-do-wells lost in a fantasy world.
