[ISW] Optimal Missile Fire Range
So, given the frankly fun and semi-realistic vector movement system in ISW, I am thinking that the optimal range to fire missiles is going to be <current forward vector of firing ship> + <closing vector of the target> + 8 or less, to ensure that there aren't multiple turns for the target to flee, or to use longer ranged weaponry as an active defense against them.
Does that sound reasonable, or in play does it make more sense to fire from farther out and risk the destruction of the missiles before they close?
