No, they've got about a dozen in this wave, but the sub is turning to avoid them, so they won't be closing too much faster. I think we can have you respond to the bigger picture rather than playing it all out shot by shot.

Well I'm not so sure about that (mostly due to the underwater guns) but I'll take the win.

I'll call in to the Submarine:

"What's the situation onboard? Are they trying to wait out the portal blockade or are they trying to pin us into an area?"

Vassarious cannot speak currently, but they brought a com and can listen for instruction.

They begin swimming in an orbit of the sub, making sure they are able to keep an eye out for threats that may come from any direction.

Nice strategy, especially with the vision. The submarine is about 20 yards across, so an "orbit" takes ~70 yards of travel, and V can get ~9 yards of lateral movement with the orbit while keeping up with the sub, so its 8 seconds per orbit.



I think this means the dragon removes the tow-line.

"Please. There's a dozen coming up next, that might be difficult to fend off before they reach the sub."

Vassarious will keep the line and swim in alternate directions and do less than full orbits, so as to not wind it around the sub.

Ten soldiers come out with their own wetsuits and guns*. They hook their comm channel up to yours, and the comms fill with the noise of coordinating fire against the demons. The water fills with shots, and blood.


"What's the difference between the red and the green blood?" one of the soldiers asks over the comms.



V is working hard to make sure they don't get stuck up on. Make a perception check.



*tripling the number of things you can aim at, and doubling the number of projectiles.
