Big gun in Tremors
In the fantastic movie Tremors, Burt Gummer uses a very big gun at about 2:00 and forward. Anyone know what kind of gun it is and what kind of stats it has? How much would it cost in an AtE campaign?

Re: Big gun in Tremors
Looks like the William Moore & Co 8 gauge.
(And thanks to the Internet Movie Firearms Database. I have no clue about this stuff on my own.) http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Tremors_(1990) http://tremors.wikia.com/wiki/Burt_Gummer's_Gun_Wall |

Re: Big gun in Tremors
Ok, so the biggest shotgun I could find in High-Tech is a 10G. This one is bigger. Holy moly.

Re: Big gun in Tremors
Some of the guns from Tremors are written up in "fire power at the movies" Pyramid 31 And yep the William Moore Double rifle 8 gauge is in there.

Actually, isn't one of the TL5 shotguns an 8G? Or am I remembering one of the TL4 ones from Low-Tech?

Re: Big gun in Tremors
Adventure guns has a couple of 8G shot guns (listed with shot stats, but which could be converted to slug coming in about 8d-4 = 7d or 7d-1 pi++ I think. The Greener 8 gauge elephant gun in the same book is rated at 6d+2 pi++ which is the same as the gun in Tremors. So all three functionally the same in damage terms.

Re: Big gun in Tremors
Heh. I just watched this movie again last week and was thinking about using it as a game setting.

Re: Big gun in Tremors
All the guns seen in Tremors that are not in High-Tech are in Pyramid #3/31, pp. 15-16, with complete stats of course.
Cheers HANS

Re: Big gun in Tremors
While Tremors was fun, Tremors 2 was moreso, IMO.
"Look at the seismograph! It must be the mother of all grabboids." *looks out the window* "No, it's something even more dangerous. It's Burt." "Note to self: Five pounds of C4 may be a bit ... excessive." Speaking of which, what was that gun Burt used in Tremors 2 where the bullet went right through the engine block and kept going?
