Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
The magic is confined to the new comer's (tereza's) left arm. The magic there is pretty static. It moves, like all magic she's experienced (it seems she can only sense movement), but it seems to move in and out of itself in something reminiscent of a lava lamp.
Gopal's response is one of alarm "An entire week? That's -- she's got to notice someone. And she's completely new --- Any possibility we can find a place for one of us to sleep other than the room?" Haley: "A gifted individual? is that some sort of euphemism?"

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
She's tempted to reply tartly to Gopal for a moment -- So and I hardly know each other THAT well -- but opts for a less embarrassing reply.
"There might be, but you know this campus better than I," she tells Gopal. "Is anything set aside for the exempt students, perhaps? Are there any spaces that are rarely used and more rarely monitored? I don't fancy either of us camping in the wilderness for a week ... even if you did just survive a stretch in the great white outdoors." Were it not for a carefully trained face, Chandra would have rolled her eyes at Hailey's answering text. Weren't spies supposed to have a sense of subtlety? "Never mind that now," she answers, matching Hailey's style of address. "When and where are you free?" OOC: By the way, does Gopal wear the classic "third eye" fabric dot that many Hindu Indians wear, or does she avoid those marks as a first step toward the Patrol's ability to disappear into a crowd? Chandra Morgan never wore that marking in her old home, but if Gopal has it, Morgan will adopt it as well for camouflage ... much though her "civilized" soul considers it pointless superstition.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
Gopal: "The boys would know more than I do. I'm sure there's somewhere. And with the hours you normally sleep during, claiming to have just laid down for a nap and sleeping for six hours strait is a believable story"
Haley sets up a meeting, though she seems reluctant to do so. Or perhaps she things a lack of enthusiasm is an adequate substitute for subtlety. OCC: She doesn't. I've been told you don't put it on in the morning -- its placed on in a number of hindu ceremonies. My information comes from living on a 20% hindu caribbean island, so the information is a little removed, but I'm going to say no. Anything from tereza? Right now Chandra is out 'getting tea'.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
Unless anything besides Chandra looking like she was just getting up as Tereza came in presents it's self she'll go on ahead to sleep.
Edit: Wake her up in the morning. Where she'll go along with whatever is planned out for her... Last edited by Poonbahbah; 10-10-2015 at 10:40 AM. |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
Works for me. She'd feel a bit of a hypocrite anyway.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
To Gopal: "I can get away with that once or twice, yes. If I nap off in odd places too many times, someone in the staff here is going to get concerned and call me in for 'a little talk.' Or call you in. Whichever. However we do this, we still can't draw attention in doing it."
Once she gets a chance to talk privately with Hailey, she explains about Tereza and the magic on her arm, making sure to relate everything she shared about herself. "Is she one of yours? Or do we have another player in the game?" OOC: In the time she's known him, has So given any sense of how he feels about outtimers? And has Gopal said or done anything that would raise Morgan's suspicions further -- whether it's deserved or not?

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
Gopal: "Its just a week, right? switch up the spots. If they are far enough away you should be good."
Haley: I'm not aware of anyone else. Particularly not anyone already working in Infinity. I was told there was no one else. I can't check though -- its possible someone else got in there. magic on their arm? You're sure its magic? <explicative>. They've been feeding us this crap that would suggest magic beyond a few specific abilities doesn't exist. They've completely aware. I bet she's a mage they picked up. They're doing a crash course. Umm... Thanks for bringing her up. I was sure it was something petty. It was worth meeting with you at midnight. Any time I can get a good look at her? Matthew So studies high tech worlds. He is minorly conflicted about the status of out-timers as people equal to homeline, leaning towards them being people, but is fiercely opposed to out-time governments. He believes manipulating out-time governments makes the quata a better place, that several of them are legitimate threats to homeline, and that causulties incured in the efforts against out-time governments are regrettable but in many cases necessary. If he knew about Haley he wouldn't hesitate to turn her in. Or shoot her, though he would prefer capture. If he knew about Chandra -- she's not sure. Quote:

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
Whether rightly or wrongly, Morgan believes that Gopal is thinking about turning Morgan in. The longer things take, the more likely she'll work up the nerve. Has Morgan seen anything in Gopal that would lead her to believe Gopal has decided to act, or is about to?

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
Gopal can turn in Chandra any time she wants -- but shows no sign of doing so. perhaps closer to spring break or just before the end of term.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
One other thing: Chandra will also briefly (and discreetly) meet up with Gopal before her double returns to the room, and arrange to swap clothes and give her the coffee mug. (If necessary, she'll use the boys as a go-between to keep them from being seen in the same place, though only if necessary -- neither Chandra is going to want to stand in their scanties while waiting for the other's costume!)
"If Tereza is still awake, she'd probably believe that you got ambushed by friends on your way to get tea and lost track of time," she explains. "But I doubt she'd believe that your bathrobe and pajamas magically turned into a uniform."
