Gunners: 90

Notes:
1. While all systems are normally possible at TL8 or lower, the Helicoptor Rotor is listed as being superscience for any craft of SM +7 or greater. As the helicarrier is SM +12, this requires them to be superscience, hence the craft being TL 8^ and not a regular TL 8.
2. I had to guess at the craft carried. Still, 100 fighters and 30 heavier craft isn't inconceivable for a carrier; adjust in play as needed.
3. I also had to guess at the cabin breakdown, rounding things as needed. I'm counting the Hulk Cage as one of the 10 Cells normally assigned to the detention level (what would normally be the ship's brig).

Okay, I didn't add the retro-reflective panels that make it virtually invisible from underneath. I was going for a somewhat more realistic version that would be fielded by a military than a spy agency's mobile HQ.

Edit: Updated size to SM +12, swapped out the rear hangar bay for a fuel tank to fuel the on-board aircraft

This is very cool. I... don't have much else to say, but it's very cool.

.
A Nimitz class carrier is SM+12. Actually 12 and a little bit but close enough not to round up in this situation. 30,000 tons would be something WWII-ish.

Ah, thanks. I didn't have that info when I was building it late last night/early this morning, so I just had to eyeball it and guesstimate. Thanks, I'll update the size later.

Huh. Only $1.7B? That's *definitely* an order of magnitude too cheap. Ah, well - that's Spaceships for ya.

Anyways, you gave it the speed of a streamlined aircraft, which it *definitely* is not. It should have a maximum airspeed of 50 yards/second or 100 MPH. You're also missing the stealth system. Finally, it needs at least one Fuel Tank for its parasite craft. I'd recommend taking out one of the Hangar Bays; it doesn't need more than 2 to hold all the planes and gear it needs, especially once bumped up to SM+12.

A good portion of the hangar bay would be filled with spare parts and munitions; I'm not sure what the percentages are on a real carrier, but I'd guess at least 10% of the hangar bay should be that stuff rather than pure vehicles. It probably wouldn't go around fully loaded at all times, either.

Complete lack of streamlining would be dumb. Is S.H.I.E.L.D. supposed to be dumb? Even so, it has nautical lines making it streamlined for oceans, but not for air.

I'd use the limited production model myself and charge about x100 per p. 34 GURPS Spaceships 1.

Actually, the E-2 is also SM +5 by Spaceships rules. You need to get up in the tactical transport aircraft before you start pushing SM +6.

What's the mass of a Quinjet? Or for those other planes (the sleek jets used by Victoria Hand and others) we see in AoS (I can't seem to find out what they are called, anybody?)?
