I think GURPS Mysteries has a disadvantage that covers those; 'Murder Magnet,' maybe?

1) The Taxi-Driver needs the optional disad: OPH: Tells Passengers His Opinions on Everything. (Or maybe it's Compulsive Behaviour? What do I know?)

2) Barbers do that to me too.

3) I quite like lawyers. Better than the alternatives.

Valid and added. One of the peculiarities of being a taxi driver (at least in this state) is that you can't really get fired unless you actually breach your contract, so the business is, to put it bluntly, full of annoying weirdos. This is part of why I have a lot of regulars.

They prefer your flavor of annoying weirdness?

Do you mean that drivers are freelancers and thus essentially non-firable, or that they're employed by companies of the non-firing sort?

Default Modern folks 'background' skills

Writing up these little templates made me realize that it's more efficient to recognize some common background skills for the 'Modern' epoch, rather than parse them seperately for each character.

But whatever. A certain SJG czar would rather issue abusive 'infractions' to me.

The former - We're all independent contractors, at least in this state, so as long as we don't breach our contracts, wreck the car, or get caught breaking any laws we can do pretty much anything. This attracts, shall we say, a certain type of person who has had trouble with the whole employment thing for one hilarious or unsettling reason or another more than a few times before.

Actually, his "flavor of weirdness" isn't really that annoying, just so you know. :)

That said, his fascination with Game of Thrones and GURPS esoterica could potentially be off-putting to some, were he to actually discuss those topics during cab-rides.

Not that he usually does that sort of thing, I understand. The drunks have a tough time holding up their ends of those conversations. ;)
