Picture starting at the end of a James Bond movie, the bad guy has given his speech and left with his force of bikers/autos/a doomsday weapon in a truck after placing the PCs in a deathtrap or in front of a firing squad. They escape and steal some cars to chase after them and the first combat begins with them closing in from behind.

The GM could then design the cars on both sides for an interesting encounter, giving the PCs a choice of, say, one of three cars, and standard guard gear.

I used to have an "Aston Martin DB5" in my files; it wasn't very useful.
