Looking for a Pyramid issue
I recall a Pyramid issue that had an article on a "goblin market" that would pop up randomly in various places, and could be a source of strange, mysterious, and powerful magic items - if you could afford to pay. Or possibly even if you couldn't...
Any idea which issue this was? Thanks. |

Re: Looking for a Pyramid issue
That was in the web edition of Pyramid, so the original version is not available.
However, a revised version appears in the Pyramid Dungeon Collection.

Re: Looking for a Pyramid issue
The web edition of Pyramid was based on an archive subscription model: you pay for temporary access to the web site (a year at a time), and during that time you have access to everything. That eventually proved not economically viable, and they turned it off.
This presented a problem. They had several years worth of articles, but they existed in the form of inconsistently formatted web pages, not easily converted to the PDFs which would be up to SJ Games's standards (not up to their standards being the key phrase here). The Pyramid Dungeon Collection is an attempt to repackage some of that content in a form they regard as salable. This involved authors revising and updating older material and that text (now formatted according to current standards) laid out in contemporary formats. It's far from an automatic process, but it's something.
