Yakuza ability Payoff question

Yakuza's Payoff allows me to draw a face-down Door card each time I kill,
or help to kill, a monster.

If I kill two monsters in one combat, do I only get one card, or one for each monster?

(Since it was me, and I was the GM, I ruled that it was only one card, no matter how many monsters. I suspect I might have been wrong.)

from reading the card I would say it is one per monster. I base this on other cards saying each combat rather than monster. I think the difference in wording is intentional.

It's one card per combat. If kill or help kill 3 Monsters, you still killed or helped to kill a Monster. Words that would truly indicate it was one for each Monster are "each" and "every."
