Yeah, it's not adding up. This must be like when I woke up on Riask. Maybe I died in the storm sewer too?

"Panogos. The Planet. We're in the Panogos System. Riask..." she holds up her phone. "'Where is Riask?'"


The phone answers: "Riask is the name of several communities and companies found off-world. None of them is especially prominent or close. could you provide more context?"

"Maybe a towel?"

"Oh hey, I think I have a hand towel!" one of the men yells. Julian gets a piece of exquistly soft and absorbent cloth just about the size of a loin cloth.

Well let's not mention the geography (waterfall, sun below clouds, etc.).

The door is still there. It has no handles on this side and is painted to blend in with the wall.

"No Riask is known as dark space mining colony or tidally locked planet."

I start getting a sinking feeling. Riask seemed to think it was some kind of important place being the only source of Vasic and all. And not only does this lady not know about it, neither does Google (?). I check my diary if the entries from the past few days are still there.

On top of that, these people are speaking English, and are rather matter of factly talking about space travel all over the place... I thought I travelled to a different planet thing with Riask, but am I also travelling in time too?

I guess the question line was a little ambiguous there. Here's the next question if the answer order implied the Concordance are the ones who run the warp ships

Honestly the knowledge that they know where Earth is (and thus its significance) is probably more important than the exact location.

"Yes, Warp Ships move faster than light. The starpus does this with it's mental energy. I'd think they can hook up to the amplifiers in the tank: they're primarily aquatic. And they're needed because they're the only ones who can move things with their mind. How did you get here from Riask if you don't know that?"

"Why's Kuru so important?"

"It's where the Starpus come from and where the Concordance is based. Its where all the Traders are based and where they build warpships."

The group goes back and forth... something about their "Game", about "Guardians" and about "A Registry"... maybe he's on the registry?
