Ah, yes, the ancient issue: IQ combining high technical intelligence with 'practical smarts', when they are two very different things...

You're a dude in medieval Italy and you lose a hand. What to do?

Replace it with a knife prosthesis, of course!

Of course! But from the article:

This suggests a leather cap over the amputated limb, a buckle used for fastening - and a knife attached to the cap, although the purpose is unclear.
Unclear? To whom? I know some researchers that need to play more RPGs.

The Oculus Anubis ... temple? cult? of Oregon

The Temple of Oculus Anubis: Creepiest place in Oregon?

As we drove in we saw the house on the left, the one that is constantly lit, full of people. The blinds in every room were drawn so I, as a nosy person, was able to look in at them.

Every single person in that house was standing still, staring straight out their windows at us. From every room. When we turned around they continued to stare, still motionless, until we drove away. It was creepy, but at the time I also found it to be pretty awesome.

Ancient Shark Fishermen Found Buried with Extra Limbs.

Whose limbs? Are they carrying the souls of those lost to sharks by bringing what's left of their bodies? Are they battle trophies? How long were the limbs severed before being buried?

"Yeah, that's my father's arm, only bit of him we could pull back. When I go, it'll go with me, shark god willing I don't go like he did".

It makes a useful gaming idea.

We know of three altitude adapted populations, several cold adapted ones, and several low water adapted ones. So a diving adapted one is not a extreme claim.
