a sealant for Ogre cardboard maps and pieces
As the S and G maps are now hard to find even on the secondary market, I'm thinking of trying to treat my copies with a sealant of some sort. Has anyone tried to seal their Ogre maps with a waterproof coating or other protectant? Can you offer any advice, cautions, or alternatives?
Here are two possibilities I'm considering: Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic https://www.krylon.com/en/products/c...crylic-coating BGShield https://boardgamegeekstore.com/produ...40015708028988 Has anyone used either of these products on the Ogre maps or units? |

That's a great idea, am also interested in any answers. For sure those folds will eventually tear so having the boards sealed would be a good insurance for longer life.

FWIW, I went another direction entirely. Some time back SJG released the files for the game maps as PDFs, and I had them printed on vinyl banner material by a firm (coincidentally also located in Austin). You can read up and see them here:
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/190...88166#33288166 Starts with the Ogre map, then proceed to the bottom of that page for the S and G maps. |
