Not because this is a miracle for fossils. We have tons of complete vertebrate fossils. It's a miracle for ancient hominid fossils, because they're bloody rare at all. Primates don't hang around in shallow water with lots of sediment deposits, as a rule, so their corpses get scattered before they get buried and mineralized.
