With a few tweaks (warp instead of hyperdrive -- or, heck, trying to create stable wormholes!), you could probably adapt the 3e character: http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/charact.../JQuenton.html (FTL researcher)
(Other potentials to adapt might be http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/charact...lliamFord.html (computers and jack-of-all-trades) http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/charact...ns/Selene.html (Computer-programming and sensors; make her Vulcan and change her delusion, I'd suggest) http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/charact...CaradocWu.html (xeno-archeology) ) I think there's a few doctors of various sorts at those pages, too, and mechanics, but unless you had some of those keeping the scientists/researchers healthy and Life-Supported, might not fit the theme.

I Do NOT do stereotypes or clichés, I try to run good adventure game stories that are plausible within the setting.

Again I am NOT doing stereotypes. Also, the whole 'Romulan sleeper agent' is mostly impossible or highly unlikely in the year my adventures are set - 2261. That was said in the earlier posts. - Ed C.

Anyone have characters? Character write ups?
I need 11 to 12 NPCs here... My Game Session is tomorrow afternoon Sunday the 14th. - Ed C.

If you're squeezed, I suggest writing up the various NPCs as Contacts, or maybe slightly expanded Contacts: A couple of effective skill levels, how reliable they are, maybe some notes on their outstanding personality traits and their major reaction modifiers. I've found that that's enough to improvise an NPC's behavior. So, for example: Wilhelm von Grimm Scientific administrator Administration-15, Current Affairs (Technology)-15, Chemistry-12 Usually reliable Stubborn Bill Stoddard
