sorry to jwilson@io.com
I was so very excited i wrote an email that sounded like i was 7 years old :) I playtested High Tech and loved it and various White Wolf games. I love horror and life it each day and weekend in my games for 20 years. Thank you SJG for bringing it back to unlife |

Damn. This is THE BOOK I want to playtest. But the months are too busy and there is no way I'm going to spend $50 on e23 over that timeline ever. I don't have the cash for new, so buy everything used and our gaming group shuffles books around.
I'm running a Horror game RIGHT NOW. It's part of the reason why I wouldn't have the time to playtest anyway. |

Administrative clarification, what date is being used to determine whether $50 have been spent over the past year?
Because if it is before July 5th 2009, I qualify. But if selection starts after that, my purchase of the Thaumatology PDF falls off, and I'm under $50. |

It is normally checked during the week before the playtest begins. That is, we usually finalize the list of playtesters on Wednesday or Thursday, open access to the playtest manuscript Friday or Saturday, and people begin posting comments the following Monday.

Well, I meet the e23 requirements.... but what I was wondering is this: if the potential playtester has not GM'd a GURPS game previously but has played RPGs of various sorts fairly religiously for five or six years, is it advisable to offer to playtest one of your products?
If I thought you guys would find it useful, I'd offer to playtest it from the perspective of a first time GM.... Worth applying? |

This particular book is a revision and an edition update of a well-established title, and we have the same author as the previous edition, so there's not a lot of nitty-gritty rule proofing but input on current GM and player expectations is important. The playtesting is more "prepartion of play" testing , and GMs are often as not the consistent book buyers of any given group. |

In that case, if I can knock some heads together and get the group around a table, I may as well give it a try. :)

Have the play testers already been selected?
