Yeah, I know. This is a weird question, but one of the supers in my Aeon A-Team has the ability to animate things and she bought an Ally that's essentially a permanently animated teddy bear. I got done what it's other abilities are (though if you think of a cool superpower for a teddy bear to have by all means post it!). but what would its racial template look like?
Any help would be most appreciated.

Homogenous (For obvious reasons)
DR 10 (Crushing only, as teddy bears are soft) SM-4 (For a bear around 10"-17" tall. Of course there are bears up to SM+0 or more during Valentine's Day sales) Pitiable (It's a teddy bear) Fur (It's a teddy bear) A teddy bear could also have Catfall (though I suppose its bounciness is already shown by the DR)... How powerful is this intended to be? Because that'll affect what supernatural abilities it could have. Last edited by Tallor; 08-08-2016 at 01:32 AM. Reason: Added Catfall |

As a special ability, I'm thinking Regrowth (Attachment Only, -50%), since its body is modular enough to allow its limbs to be reattached. If that's too harsh, the even-better Regrowth (Attachment, +50%) would allow regeneration of limbs, but teddy bear-like repairs.

A super power could be a Malediction that transports the mind of the target to the fantastical world of the childhood where all kinds of wonderful talking/animated things are possible. In game terms the victim could be dazzled or fascinated if he loses a contested Will roll.
Other mind tricks could be possible. For example a Buff to increase the Will of his allies against fear (either normal or supernatural). The Source could be Hope or Innocence!

You could always add Payload and fill it with useful stuff like bombs or diamonds...

I would sooner go with IT: Damage Reduction (Crushing Only).

For example, if a child were to tie a cape (dish towel) around the teddy bear's neck, it would gain suitable powers, depending on the child's imagination. In this case, Enhanced Strength, Lifting ST, Enhanced Move, some DR with the Armoured enhancement, probably Flight and/or some form of super-speed. It might have additional powers as well. (Call it "Super-Teddy and it can make a targeted slam/flying jump kick attack against the head from the rear, a la Lynn Johnson's For Better or For Worse.) If the cape is lost during battle (it has to be completely removed; it still works if there's only a small amount left as long as it remains tied about the neck) or if the child leaves the area (generally determined by line of sight), the powers are immediately lost. As another example, if the child placed a cowboy hat on the teddy bear's head and strapped on a toy gun belt with cap revolvers, the teddy bear would gain the Gunslinger advantage and Guns! skill. If the hat is knocked off, it loses the advantage and skill, but if the roll of caps runs out, it is "out of ammo" until it can "reload" but can fight, possibly gaining Brawling, Boxing, Wrestling or some combination of those skills. |

To balance this out, I can see a serious ST penalty; all that fluff with no endoskeleton or exoskeleton is going to result in a teddy bear that can't lift much and hits like a pillow.
