Arms are added weight/bulk. So no volume discount. Centipede-Man is a rather leggy dude. He should pay for his stuff.

I worked out the cp cost (-ve) for an alien that was essentially a cuttlefish but lives as a "head" on an SM0 headless-chicken. So, Mind-control and Ally with minion is in there, and probably amphibious, chameleon, extra arms...
Very alien, very creepy, powerful species but -ve cp cost as a Racial Template.
For comparison, the Hominids' Racial Templates come out around 100cp.
Edit - just checked, [-82] for the head (includes Extended Life x4 and Parasitic Possession, external only), [-106] for the "body" (includes ST&HT12, HP&FP16).

Mind control? That's just an Ally with controls, unless they can to do it to other things.

Controls let other people control the ally too and are a feature of the Ally. Mind Control means the "taking control" is a feature of the parasite, and others can't take over the Ally without also buying an expensive advantage.

Mind Control is still probably overkill to control something that doesn't have a mind in the first place with a hard wired connection. I think Controls is right. Sure, somebody else can drive one, if they have the right nerve interface thingie. Which is probably a perk.

So Humans have controls and the Goa'uld just the perk right nerve interface ?

That's clearly possession. This is different since the mounts are specifically bred for this and lack minds to control in the first place.

I think a better example may be the animals of Pandora, from Avatar. The Na'vi can control them with their hair-tentacles - but whether that's a trait intrinsic to the Na'vi (Mind Control w/ Contact and Accessibility - compatible animals) or to the animals themselves (Controls, requiring a "bio-uplink" perk to access) is up for debate. I'd be tempted to call it the latter, if only because the rival humans gain similar benefits from their gear (armored walkers and helicopter gunships).

Humans have minds of their own. These things don't.

I've clearly over-priced their templates. Thank you.
