At this point of the week (Thursday) I guess all the selected members for the playtest already received that e-mail.

And I'd think that people who sent submissions for playtesting GURPS Social Engineering but haven't received anything about it, can safely guess that they are out of the playtest.

I'm not SJ Staff or anything but typically (in almost all my experiences) you find out the Friday before the Monday start date...so not necessarily over and done.

As I understand the procedure, it would be uncommon for people to receive their mail before Thursday and not unknown for them to receive it Friday.

As it is Wednesday night in Texas right now, I wouldn't rule anything out.

It's also a holiday. Almost nobody is going to work late tonight.

I have at this point compiled a first cut list that contains between 60 and 80 percent of the final number. I have not contacted anyone. There is no point now in my doing so before Monday; no SJ Games staff will be available to set up the list. Even on Monday, I won't e-mail the people I haven't picked, because I may still pick a few more of them; I'll do the final cut next week. In the meantime, don't assume you've been turned down until you get an e-mail that says you've been turned down.

It's good to hear this clear explanation. Thanks.

Wow, getting onto the forums last week would have been a good thing. Currently playing a face man, and within the next two weeks starting a modern game with a strong con element (inspired by Leverage, among others).

I sadly don't have the time to participate in the playtest, but this sounds like such a worthy project and I'm sure it will be helpful for my campaign (in its present incarnation it's about minor Russian nobles with superpowers in an 21st century Imperial Russia that never fell), so may whatsoever gods be your patrons speed you on your way!

If this were Kickstarter, I'd have already pledged my money by now. :)
