Default Infinite Worlds and Technomancer

Haven't got the book yet, or even seen a copy (dratted local stores), but I would like to know: do we get any new info or an update on the Technomancer setting? As I recall, the US government was just starting to work with crosstime travel in the setting. That's the sort of thing that would worry the I-Cops quite a bit.

And then there's the fact that they've got Reich-5 for a neighbor...

It gets updated a little bit. They do mention a least two groups on Merlin working on cross plane travel. Using magic of course.

Reich-5's made contact with Merlin's Argentina via the Antarctic Hellstorm, and a small Reich-5 SS detachment is in Merlin's Argentina. Only high-ranking memebers of the Reich-5 interworld program and of the Peronist government know this.
Merlin CIA agents are secretly on Homeline, using Plane Shift spells; only high-ranking Merlin-Americans know this.
Homeline Patrol personnel are secretly on Merlin; only Infinity knows this, thought the Homeline Americans probably suspect (given what they were able to find out about the 1992 incident).

The fuse is lit for a three-way interworld struggle set on Merlin. And nobody knows how long the fuse is . . .

In GURPS Wizards (for GURPS 3e) they actually gave out GURPS 3e stats for a wizard from Merlin who was actually ON Homeline, and acting as a spy there.

And Georgia Brown is mentioned by name in IW. Her cover is as a Ph.D. student in medieval cliodynamics; she's even got a scholarship from the Duncorne Foundation.

Yeah, it's the same "plot" as World War II. The main cast:

Homeline, as the United States of America;
Centrum, as the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics, affectionately known as "Russia"; and

Reich-5, as Deutsches Reich, which English Speakers call the 3rd Reich if ruled by the Nazis.

Supporting cast: Merlin, the Magic Earth in the role of the contested land (choose one).

With the consequential Battle of Merlin. :)

Hmm, what world will ally with Reich-5 and sneak attack a Homeline-owned parallel (bringing the war to the forefront in the average Homeliner's mind)?

If the conflict between Homeline and Centrum is considered the first one, would this be called Worlds War II?

Great idea on the WW2 parallel ... I like it. It would be a good campaign for my group, I think.

I think the best Reich-5 allies would be other Reich worlds, most of them are behind 5 but 5 wouldn't have any reason not to help them win and establish a worlds spanning Reich.

What would off world nukes do to Merlin, would it create a Hellstorm like the Merlin nukes?
