Infinite Worlds -- Table of Organization for Infinity
Nope, not asking for one. I made one. The whole setting is wonderful and I think the various divisions and departments of Infinity make sense, but there've been times when I couldn't quite figure out where a certain group stood in relation to another, or exactly how the United Nations and various corporate groups related to Infinity themselves. So I diagramed it out and posted it to MyGURPS in case anyone else found it useful.

You have ISWAT under the Patrol. As I recall, they report to the Council.
Or they would if they existed.

Plenty of real-world precedent for such an arrangement.

The Mounties?? He has the Mounties on the chart !! That gave me a good laugh. Makes sense with so many Canadians writing for GURPS.

BTW, I forgot about Corporate Security, so I added it in and updated the chart. (The text suggests playing a CorpSec game and also mentions the rivalry between CorpSec and IP's Security division, so that tells me it's worthy of inclusion.)

Re: Infinite Worlds -- Table of Organization for Infinity
Remember the TV show "Due South" ? I'm still thinking about the Mounties. I magine a really BIG Projector and conyeyer - we're talking STARGATE SG-1 sized ...and short -staffed and in an emergency situation ... singing mounties on horseback are sent away on a rescue mission.
There was a later Due South that had a whole rehiment of singing Mounties and their horses travelling on a train ...Leslie Noielson guest-starred in that episode...and it was mostly played for laughs. Had a very Brisco County feel to that particular one. - E.W. Charlton

I could swear that there was a note somewhere saying that one of these groups is tacitly but definitely recognised as providing the Council with a potential counterweight to the I-Cops, should things ever come down to a violent confrontation - but I can't now find the damn thing.
