Default Are there plans to create datafiles for Pyramid articles?

As the title says, are there plans to add the material that appears on the Pyramid issues to the official datafiles? For example the Improved Zombie from Pyramid 3.1, the defensive imbuements from Pyramid 3.4, the Justicar template from 3.10...

Official plans? Nope, there aren't currently any official plans. Unfortunately, when there are still "normal" supplements that don't have GDFs, it wouldn't make sense to focus on Pyramid ones.

Of course, as with datafiles for any source, anyone who wants to create one certainly can. After all, a huge number of our GDFs are fan-made. So anyone who wants the prestige* and status* of having contributed should give it a try.

* Prestige and status not included.

I still think there's a way to incentivize this process and reward the volunteers. If individuals would donate to prize fund they could pay a prize out to the authors whenever a fan-made .gdf gets included in an official update.

Defensive Imbuements have already been written up, by Stephen E. Brown in his "Dungeon_Fantasy_Optional_Templates.gdf", which includes the Mystic Knight and Seventh Son templates as well.

Found a link to it!

I actually have a start on the Necromancy stuff from 3.1, I should look at it and see how much polishing it needs.

Once people start having money as a consideration, you also start needing some kind of quality assurance: checking gdfs for accuracy and completeness. And that's going to be even more tedious than compiling them in the first place.

I've got it, check the date of my original post. You've fallen for thread necromancy, though you're giving new like to this deceased thread, with your necromantic arts.

That's part of the process before incorporating them into official releases as it stands now, so at least THAT isn't anything new.

Enh, good to have the link in the forum somewhere findable regardless. And, it did get me to kick my stuff out the door eventually :)
