Default [IW] What would you call...

... a region full of rifts or portals to other worlds? The idea is a geographic area somewhere between a county and a continent in size that is peranchronically "porous," with reasonably stable connections to multiple parallel timelines. Such areas might be sources, where disappearances are common; sinks, where travellers and oddities appear on a frequent basis; or neutral, with easy two-way traffic.

The terminology in Infinite Worlds doesn't seem to cover this possibility:
  • It encompasses more than a single nexus portal (although the Horatio Club, which is a similar concept in a single building, is called a "multiversal nexus").
  • While dimensional highways may connect to it, it's an area rather than a linear feature.
  • It's not a vortex, since the connections don't manifest as banestorms.
  • It's not a fracture zone, as those are the static remnants of a continuity-breaking event.
  • It's not a shiftrealm, as the region itself doesn't travel between timelines (although Wanshijieshan, which seems to be an example of type, is called this).

"Nexus zone"? "Dimensional labyrinth"? "Sidewise country?" "Temporal interchange?" "Crossroads of time?"

I'm looking for suggestions, with maybe a bit of justification to go with them.

As a physical location, it could be called "Anywhere" :-).

Other than being called a war zone (because once two different organizations are aware of it you can be sure they will fight to control it), yes a nexus seems a proper description.

If it was discovered by somebody British, it could be called Spaghetti Junction.

Nexus Zone sounds like the classification for such a spot. Any instances will almost certainly pick unique names from Nexus oversight.

Okay, "nexus zone" it is, unless someone else has a clever suggestion. Thanks, all.

Nexus Zone seems like a good technical name, crosworld travelers may call it Crossworld Country, The Devil's Juction and other names.

If it is the large number that seems to be indicated I would go with Grand Nexus.

A name I came up with for a cross-over comic I did with a buddy of mine ages ago was "The Perpendicular Zone", as it was a region which cut across several parallel worlds.

Mostly because it's fun saying "Perpendicular".
