Garage Door Opener when looking for trouble

Hello,
I hope I can be helped. :P

After playing a round of Star Munchkin me and my friends had a huge shouting contest all due to the card "Garage Door Opener".

One of the players was LOOKING FOR TROUBLE and revealed a monster from her hand. Now the card "Garage Door Opener" was used to "close the door". The thing is, is it possible to use the card when looking for trouble???

I've always said no. I could have sworn that SJ and I discussed this a million years ago, which is why I always say no. However, since it was a million years ago, that explains why I can't find it in my e-mail archives. :-(
