Re: Opinions on cinematic martial arts skills?
Go to p.80 of Powers and get the Maneuverable Enhancement for Super Jump. It's a much more direct path to what you want than any modified Gliding.

Re: Opinions on cinematic martial arts skills?
You're probably right about that. Hmmm. Though neither does much on the "replacing Light Walk / Lizard Climb" front. I guess heavily-limited Gravity Control (e.g. Only To Make Self Lighter, -80%) could cost as little as 4 points / level and would help with jumping, climbing, and other tasks all in one ability.

Re: Opinions on cinematic martial arts skills?
Walk on Air (Only when touching something solid, -?%) would actually combine Light Walk and Lizard Climb. Not sure what it's worth—if you have a vertical surface you can maintain contact with, it's potentially less restrictive than say a 5 foot ceiling. Maybe -20%? That plus Super Jump might actually give you all the core wuxia tricks.

I hadn't noticed this. It seems odd, as Walk on Air seems like it does everything Clinging does and more (you don't need to climb a wall when you can use air-stairs for the same effect), although I think Clinging may allow you to climb a bit faster.

I don't mind them, but I also don't use them much: I only consistently use mental strength, and usually not in a Martial Arts context. Part of not minding them is they are fairly specific and narrow in their application, as opposed to the spells system.

Re: Opinions on cinematic martial arts skills?
I find the skills that take 33 seconds to activate so limited to be next to unusable. I've gotten around that a few times with a penalty reduction feature on customized Masterful Training, priced as a medium group rather than small, just because of the potency of these skills...
https://www.ravensnpennies.com/gurps...er-advantages/ Thank you Mr. Rice! Another alternative to help with these is a level of Compartmentalized Mind or ATR to squeeze in some concentration time. Quote:

Re: Opinions on cinematic martial arts skills?
That has more to do with one or both advantages being mispriced than with walk on air not logically rendering clinging irrelevant 90% of the time (clinging works in a vacuum, and using walk on air when you have a 20 mph headwind is likely to be not very effective).
