How a character who has Extra Attack and Dual Weapon Attack works?
How does a character who has Extra Attack (advantage) Dual Weapon Attack work? He could make 3 attacks in one turn, or these two techniques work separately?
How my character, uses weapons of close combat, can give the same turn 3 attacks or even 4? |

I believe it said you can only make one Duel attack, so the extra attack would just be one extra.. In other-words 3 attacks.

Re: How a character who has Extra Attack and Dual Weapon Attack works?
You may turn one Attack (capital A) into either a Dual-Weapon Attack OR a Rapid Strike.
Extra Attack gives you an extra Attack (oddly enough) when you chose an Attack, All-Out Attack, Committed Attack . . . basically if you take any variety of Attack (capital A) maneuver, you get to add another strike/blow/grapple/technique that counts as an attack but doesn't stipulate that something happens on your next TURN. So with Extra Attack, you could kick someone (one Attack) and then Dual-Weapon attack (second Attack). You could also do AoA(Double), and turn ONE of those three attacks into EITHER a DWA or Rapid Strike. So with one Extra Attack, you can nail someone up to four times in one turn if you can hack the penalties and withstand not having any defenses. Doug

If you choose a maneuver that normally allows you to attack, a single level Extra Attack gives you one additional attack. So normally twice, three times on a AOA(Double).
One attack each turn can be a Rapid Strike or Dual Weapon Attack.

So that means Extra Attack plus DWA gives three attacks, at -0/-4/-4, right? Rather than three attacks at -4 each?

or you could go -4/-4/-0 by swamping the first one instead of the second one. if you were trying to burn though their active defenses first. |

Re: How a character who has Extra Attack and Dual Weapon Attack works?
This all depends on what specific tactics you're using, and what techniques you've trained. Assuming you've maxed DWA, it would often be better to open with the Extra Attack (using up their first, probably best, defense) and follow with DWA (so the -1 defense stacks with the multi-parry penalty, or hits the lower Dodge score). Or, you could trade your EA for a Feint to really frack their defense. On the other hand, if you have high base skill (18+) but lack DWA technique, you could start with the DWA and follow with Deceptive Attack.

Re: How a character who has Extra Attack and Dual Weapon Attack works?
Not exactly the purpose of the thread I know, but keep in mind that Extra Attack needs to be purchased with the Multistrike enhancement if the character wanted to use a sword (or limb) more than once in the turn.
