Default Question about PbP

Is the play by post only for Sj games like gurps and such or can other game systems be played here?

For example I am making my own game system. I would like to play test it. Could i play test it here?

Unless your game system is extremely simple - Toon-level or simpler - then PbP is unlikely to be a good way of testing it. Debugging a game system tends to require a lot of back-and forth exchanges, as players and GM try to figure out exactly what is wrong with a rule, and that is slower with PbP than face-to-face.

well that is kind of not what I asked but ok. I guess I should say is there any rule against it?

Aren't there non-GURPS games already running? (There is no such rule that I know of. There is, however, a rule against using the officially sanctioned looking-for-players thread advertising games that are to be held elsewhere.)

Is there a place to advertize play-by-chat games, on here? That's one of the avenues I intend to use to playtest Sagatafl, when that time comes.

The Gamer Finder, perhaps? Not the PbP subforum/seeker thread, since those are off-limits for non-PbP stuff.

I ran a ForeSight game in the PbP forum.
