The Haunting of Langley Manor

This adventure (which appeared in an older edition of GURPS Horror that somehow passed out of my possession many years ago) has now made it to the top of my "Grail" list -- the list of RPG materials that I want to acquire. Does anyone know where I can lay my hands on a copy of that adventure?

Presuming you mean it was in one of the old revisions of GURPS Horror, if you search on www.nobleknight.com, they have both 1st and 2nd edition GURPS Horror available (they have been reliable in all orders I have placed). GURPS Horror 3rd edition is of course available in PDF through e23.

It was an adventure that appeared in Horror 1e. I greatly regret selling off 1e after I bought 2e, since it was actually a nice adventure.

Nobleknight shows 1e and 2e for sale, but the covers look the same...I haven't looked to see what the covers should be...so it could be in error unless the covers are the same...

1st edition included a write up fo Sherlock Holmes IIRC.

This was a realistic Holmes not a Robert Downe JR one.

1e and 2e did use the same cover (a very good one I might add). 1e was for GURPS 2e and 2e was for GURPS 3e. 1e was 96 pages and included some psionics rules (telepathy for one); 2e was 128 oages and omitted the psionics chapter (since the 3e Basic Set already had one). I think both had similar bestiaries and each also had "generic" firearms tables for TL5-7. 2e had a full chapter on the Cabal, which 1e didn't. And 1e had a sample adventure and 2e didn't. And that's about all I remember of 1e vs 2e ;)

I read the books after I saw the Robert Downe Jr. movie. While the plot of the movie was unlike the books, I found the characters to be quite true to the books. Holmes kicked serious tail in the books, he had a drug problem, and not a lot of use for women.

I have roughly 20-30 3rd edition books (or earlier), including the Haunting of Langley Manor, that I would be willing to sell. Most are well-worn or falling apart, but still readable. I am located in Germany, however.
Should we move this to a different thread?
