"Like me, yes. No Name? no good."

"No clothes. Just wearing. sorry." She picks at the clothes she is wearing, touches her pack, and shakes her head.

She realizes Yolanda wants to go back up stream.

"Not safe. Kosido still looking. Guns. <some term>.. ahh" she makes the motion of something flying, and of explosions.

Yolanda nods, "Mmmmhmmm. Guns. Believe me, I heard them, but if your friend doesn't get assistance soon she ain't gonna make it. Is there anybody else who can help? Do you got any medical facilities? A water source? Anything?"

"Only Kosido. Killed friends. shoot car. Just pack." She holds up her bag. She's already given Yolanda her first aid kit.

"You going? I... I scared. but will come. Save friend."

Kosido, Yolanda thinks, I wonder if those are the the other people from my dream. She's tempted to inquire more about these Kosido, but for right now she's really just happy that Haniko is willing to come with her.

For a minute she had expected that it might take threats of violence to convince this woman to go back. Yolanda had been prepared to use actual violence if had come to that. That neither was required was a welcome relief.

Stepping forward to place a hand on Haniko's shoulder, Yolanda tells her sincerely, "Thank you." After a moment she pulls back and says, "We need to move quickly, though. Follow me."

"Oh," she pauses to look back at Haniko, "And if you happen to hear anything rustling in the brush on the way, just stay real quiet now. Trust me." With that she starts the journey back upstream to where she left the first woman.

The walk up the stream is not as eventful as the one down. Haniko marches in silence for a while, then asks

"Why you here? Who you with?"

Yolanda shrugs her shoulders as she walks, "I ain't got no idea where here is, to be honest. As to why I'm here... hell, your guess is as good as mine." She goes to explain, "Last I recall, I was in my bed back in Baltimore, then the next thing I know I'm waking up here buck naked. I found your friend not far from where I woke up."

"At first," Yolanda continues, "I thought I must've been drugged and kidnapped or something... you know... that human trafficking <expletive> you hear about." Shaking her head, she says, "But... this place... it ain't like no place I ever heard of. And the creatures I've seen... they're like straight out of some science fiction or horror movie type <expletive>>"

"What about you," Yolanda inquires. "What are you doing here? You mentioned something about a car being shot... I think I might have seen that. I know it sounds odd, but before I woke up I had this dream about a fight..."

She trails off for a minute, before thinking to ask, "Where we at, anyhow?"

The questions and statements have to be repeated several times, but they have time.

Haniko: "You not remember? perhaps you forget. I mean ..." she mimics getting hit on the head and then looking around in wonder, then straitens up "You get?"

Haniko imitates the lumbering walk of the creatures with the hands, complete with the stump sticking up on one side: "Hitaisho! ugly beast. We come study. Zoo. Kosido no like. say No come in! Even scientists. We come to get. Take home. We loose. Most dead."

Essentially, Haniko and her group came to study the creatures, or to capture them for study -- and the Kosido don't seem to think this is ok.

Where they are turns out to be 'Hitaisho' -- which is also what the woman calls the ugly beasts. She seems to think this as good as a description of where they are as it gets.

Yolanda touches her head and shrugs, "It feels fine, I think... and I ain't never heard of this... Hitaisho... place before. Or those Hitaisho things, for that matter. But still... hell... maybe you're right and I hit my head... makes as much sense as anything else at this point."

"So, the Kosido don't want you messing with the Hitaisho," Yolanda inquires further, "but who are these Kosido, anyhow?"

"And where is home for you," she askes, "Do you got a way to get back there?"

The woman struggles to explain the Kosido. Yolanda gets that they aren't from around here, but claim ownership of the area. They use lots and lots of computers and other electronics, have their own government, and are grumpy or strict or unmerciful or something like that.

The woman is from Japan -- that takes a while to figure out, but its definitely Japan. "No way back. Yimi dead. Yimi was ... pilot".

"Of course... Yimmi is the pilot, and Yimmi is dead," Yolanda remarks bitterly. "Look, do you know of any place around here we can go? A city... a town... a McDonalds in the woods? I mean there's gotta at least be a McDonalds, right? There's a McDonalds everywhere." She's only joking about the McDonalds part, but the thought does make her stomach growl.
