Hey guys,

I have now returned from my travels, and shouldn't be going anywhere else until the end of October at the earliest. chimchim, when it is convenient to bring Jeb into the storyline, please let me know.

same here, taking them off road would be bad, I am assuming we are not alone; there is at least 1 other NPC here that can take our wagon to town while we hunt them down. granted I never stated out the rest of my equipment just what I would carry (the 20%).

so I think I would have something like Sampson:

Saddle Horse
An ordinary riding horse.
ST 25; DX 9; IQ 3; HT 11.
Will 10; Per 12; Speed 5; Dodge 8;
Move 6.
SM +1 (3 hexes); 1,200 lbs.
Traits: Domestic Animal; Enhanced
Move 1 (Ground Speed 12);
Hooves; Peripheral Vision;
Quadruped; Weak Bite.
Skills: Mount-11.
Cost: $1,429

1 Saddle & Tack $275 Wgt:35
1 Stirrups $125 Wgt:20
1 Bit & Bridle $35 Wgt:3
1 Horseshoes $50 Wgt:4
2 Saddlebags $200 Wgt:6

Travel Bag (TL5). A leather duffle or similar. Holds 100
lbs. $60, 10 lbs. LC4.
1 Blanket $20 Wgt:4
6 Oil(per pint) $12 Wgt:6
1 Lantern $20 Wgt: 2
12 Rations $24 Wgt:6
5 Bandages $50 Wgt:10
1 Climbing Gear $20 Wgt:4
2 Rope, 3/8'' (per 10 yards) $10 Wgt:3
1 Winter Clothes $180 Wgt:4

the surrounding terrain would be impossible to enter with a wagon. There are only a few trails that a wagon can use. Some hard choises will have to be made.

Yes, but Pericles has not the saddle-horse (nor the inclination, really) to go charging through the badlands after bad men.
Perhaps, if the GM wisely prefers not to run a split party, we could assume Pericles & Sebastien make it to town (possibly with Sam's wagon in tow if he would make such a suggestion -- nudge, nudge) and you could run the "posse" adventure and pick up my character again when they return to town, assuming they don't all get blowed up or something. :)

i have run split parties before and could now. Players should be free to do as they feel their characters would in all situations.
However splitting may mean a period of relative inactivity for the split group so as to avoid getting to far ahead of the rest.

Personally, I'm OK with that... it occurs to me this may be one of the unsung advantages to PbP (assuming your players are the patient type).
