Re: Bruce Lee
This is close to how I'd do it.
The only thing I have to take issue with is counting "Uses anything that works" as a quirk. How is that disadvantageous, even 1 point worth?

See B163, it's either something that requires a specific action on the behalf of the character or something disadvantageous.

Re: Bruce Lee
I'd go further and make it a Reputation: Traditional Martial Artists. Early in his development of Jun Fan / Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee made a lot of waves in the martial arts community. His methods - until he proved they could work - weren't well recieved among the traditionalists.

It is an important part of Bruce's personal philosophy, but that doesn't make it a quirk. All quirks limit your choices somewhat at the very least. Quote:

Re: Bruce Lee
I think you could make a case for Enemies, even with a realistic take on Bruce. Didn't he actually face a number of challenges from traditional practitioners and end up getting injured in a challenge match (this may be part of the legend rather than reality...)?

Re: Bruce Lee
Dredging up from the recesses of the brain vault... didn't he have a near-crippling back injury, that still caused him problems throughout his life?
If so, could that qualify as "Bad Back", maybe modified? Also, let's not forget that James Coburn trained with Master Lee, as well. Yup. Our man Flint. ;) Inviso-Chimp |
